Over 20 Years of Sheet Metal Experience
Over the last 20 years, we have grown from a small, family run business to one of the most trusted suppliers in the metalworks industry.
Our Journey
In 1999, E&A Probend started as a small family owned business in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. Today, we own a state of the art workshop in Dandenong South, and are one of the most trusted names in the sheet metal industry.
Our Mission
We design, manufacture and fabricate premium quality, precision machined, sheet metal products. We always deliver on time, within budget, and to your unique requirements, making sure our clients are always 100% satisfied with the final product and its long term performance.
End-to-end Sheet Metal Manufacturing Process
We are a one stop shop for all your metalworks needs, from consultation, to design, to drafting, to manufacturing, and fabrication.
-
1.0 Consultation
Every great project starts with an idea. Our consultants can work with you to develop your ideas, and provide expert advice on the the best way to bring them to life. We can also conduct thorough analysis and provide guidance on any necessary adjustments, changes or improvements that could be made to your original ideas. if you need help to turn your ideas into a design which is ready to manufacture, our specialists are here to help.
-
2.0 Design
Our design team can work with your descriptions, drawings, sketches or samples to produce a complete design of your product. We use SolidWorks CAD to design and visualise your ideas. This allows us to develop your designs with greater precision, and allows us to show you what things will look like before they are built. We can also advise you on the best materials to use for your design, to deliver the best possible performance and durability. Otherwise, if you have ready-to-manufacture designs, we can do the sheet metal fabrication for you.
-
3.0 Prototyping
Using the designs that we develop in SolidWorks CAD, we can build a fully functional prototype of your product. Building a prototype before a large production run has lots of advantages. Amongst other things, it allows you to see and interact with your product, showcase it to any potential stakeholders such as investors or contractors, and make improvements and changes through testing in real world conditions.
-
4.0 Fabrication
When fabricating your sheet metal products, we use our extensive skills and expertise including laser cutting, folding, MIG, TIG and spot welding. Our highly trained technicians build and fabricate your sheet metal products with the highest possible precision to ensure they meet your exact requirements, and always look fantastic. We purchase and use only the best aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel products from local suppliers for the best possible long term durability and peace of mind.
-
5.0 Finishing
The next stage in our process is finishing. Metal finishing typically involves treating each metal sheet by applying a thin film to the surface. Most commonly, this includes powder coating, but can also include other types of finishes. This additional layer is really important. Apart from ensuring that the final product looks great, it adds an additional layer of protection and ensures that the metal is corrosion resistant for longer durability. In addition to powder coating, we can also apply several other finishing touches including etching, engraving and polishing.
-
6.0 Assembly
The final stage of our process is assembly. Depending on your requirements, we can deliver your finished products in separate parts or components, or we can deliver it fully assembled and ready to go. Fully assembled products include all screws, bolts, and assembly. We can also package, deliver and ship products across Victoria, or interstate.

7.0 Customer Care
At E&A Probend, our service does not stop once your product leaves the door. We provide a range of warranties for your peace of mind. Our after sales service is exceptional, meaning you can rest assured that you will always get help and support when you need it.
Premium Quality Materials
We only source the highest quality, locally made metals for outstanding finishes, long term durability, and peace of mind.
Aluminium
Aluminium is both corrosion resistant and light weight. Because it has a lower structural stiffness than steel, it is typically compensated by thicker gauge. We commonly work with aluminium sheets ranging from 0.5mm to 12mm thickness.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is the premium solution to corrosion resistance. It has the same stiffness as steel, but even higher strength. Unpainted stainless steel is treated to remove iron contamination and avoid rust. We work with 0.5mm to 20mm stainless steel sheets.
Mild Steel
Mild steel is low in carbon, making it more ductile, machinable, and weldable but has less tensile strength, and must be coated to avoid oxidation and rust. We typically work with mild steel sheets varying between 0.5mm and 16mm in thickness.
